Where is the studio?

26 Horne Street, Elsternwick.

Is there free parking?

Yes there is the Elsternwick Station Car Park directly across the road.  There is street parking available and after 6pm and on weekends there are no time limits.

What is the seating limit?

Our seating limit is 15 per class.  Private Events maximum of 20.

Do I have to paint exactly the same thing as the artist?

Choose your own colours, pick another style from the choices on the wall, or just go rogue!  

Age to attend

Unless otherwise stated, you must be 18+ years of age to attend.  We occasionally hold All Ages sessions.  Keep an eye on our socials for the next event.

How long are the sessions?

All of our sessions are approximately 2 hours.  Some more involved paintings may take a little longer. Please arrive 10/15 minutes early to find your seats, pour your drinks, unpack your nibbles and wrangle on an apron.  Painting starts promptly at session start time.

We Recommend

Plenty of local bars and restaurants all within a 5 minute walk of the studio if you feel like a before or after nibble or drink!  CopyCat, Bang Bang, Upstairs Cellar, Antique Bar, Rooftop Bar at The Classic Cinema or Goathouse are all a stone's throw away.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever feels good!  We do provide aprons, but accidents do happen so wear something you don’t mind getting a bit of paint on.  

Can I purchase drinks or food at the studio?

No we are strictly BYO.  We provide fridge, ice, glassware, platters, wine openers, cheese knives etc.  There is a bottle shop across the road and we can point you in the right direction.

What is the size of the canvas?

The size of the canvas is 50 x 40cm. Some classes we may use a 40 x 40cm canvas to suit the artwork.  The size of the wall tile/ heart/cross is approximately 30 x 20cm. 

Can I sit with my friends?

Yes all seating is assigned to groups.

What is included?

Aprons to wear, canvas, all art supplies, glassware, platters, ice, fridge, cheese knives, bowls and easy to follow, beginner friendly instructions. 

Do I have to wear a mask?

No, from midnight Friday 25th February masks indoors in this setting are no longer required. 

Studio Photography & Social Media

During and after the class the host may take some photos that may be used on our website or socials.  Please advise if you prefer not to participate.  We can also take photos of you and your friends using your phones, just ask the host!

What precautions are you taking due to COVID-19?

UpVibes Studio is fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and adheres to COVID-19 government guidelines.  All staff are fully vaccinated. QR check in and vaccination are no longer required.

 

Cancellation Policy

There is no fee to re-book when doing so at least 48 hours prior to session time. Re-booking requests made after this time will incur a $20 fee.  Re-bookings and cancellations are processed as a gift voucher.  Refunds will not be issued.  The voucher is valid for three years from the date of issue. Please note there is no reschedule or gift voucher for no-shows.

 

Private Events Booking Policy

Events must be fully paid within 10 days of the event. A minimum number paid seats is required.

Private event bookings will have the ability to reschedule at no charge or have the deposit amount provided as a voucher. Refunds will not be issued.  You may rebook or cancel a private event when doing so more than 2 weeks in advance of your session.  Withholding full payment will result in cancellation of your event and you agree to forfeit your deposit if full payment is not received at least 7 days prior to your event.

Gift Vouchers 

Gift Vouchers are in the form of e-vouchers or a hard copy if requested.  Hard copy will be sent free of charge if requested.  Gift Vouchers expire 3 years after date of issue.  Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.  

To redeem a Bayside Bottle and Brush Gift Voucher please contact us and we will issue you a new voucher valid for this website.  If your voucher was a gift, we can issue you a hard copy gift voucher and send it to the recipient free of charge.

Cancellation by UpVibes

On occasion we may need to cancel a class due to insufficient bookings or Covid Isolation.  We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and will offer a re-schedule or voucher for a future class.
